Experience
I am currently a doctoral student, earning my Ed.D. from Missouri Baptist University. I hold several different postsecondary degrees, including my bachelor's in Journalism from Webster University, my master's in Education Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and an Ed.S. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages, and have worked as an educator for nearly a decade. I have worked with students ranging from elementary schoolers to college students in subjects including reading, writing, editing, literature, and grammar. I also enjoy helping students prepare for the ACT and GRE. I'm comfortable working with students of all abilities, and I like to discover each student's optimal learning style. Every student learns differently, and by tailoring my teaching style to meet their needs, I can help students succeed in subjects they previously found challenging. I believe that reading and writing well are the keys to achieving all academic goals, so I am passionate about helping students bring their reading and writing skills up to grade level and beyond! When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy watching anime, playing table-top games and video games, exercising, and spending time with my family.
